So, every few posts or so on this blog, I throw in some information about local vacation homes for rent. This way, if you are reading along and my words are convincing you to come visit, you will know about all of the good places to stay! It’s my service to you. ☺ And that’s why I’m going to tell you about Hale Ylang Ylang in Hanalei.
Now, this month is all about food for me. (Yes, mostly food I can’t have now that I’m on a diet, but still…) And so I wanted to showcase a gorgeous house that also had a fully set-up kitchen and was a short walk away from some nice restaurants. Hale Ylang Ylang is that vacation home.
Actually, it’s a town house, located right near Hanalei Bay. The view is beautiful, which is probably why the house has so many large windows. In fact, the dining room has a long table situated between two extremely large, wide windows. The result is the feeling that you are eating outside in a tropical garden.
And the house itself is exquisite. I know that’s an odd word to use for a house, but this house has such appeal for me. It has hardwood floors, wood paneling that offsets the lighter shades of furniture, a quaint little stairway, a cozy window seat (really more of a window bed) with a bookshelf, and intricate little details that make it all at once cute, spacious, light, respectable, and perfect for any family.
There are two master bedrooms downstairs with King-sized beds, private bathrooms, and all of the privacy you could want. So you could bring your best friends and easily have enough space. Plus, there is an outdoor shower for after swimming in the ocean, cable tv, a DVD player, high speed internet, a washer/dryer unit, and, most importantly, a kitchen to drool over.
The kitchen has granite counter-tops, stainless steel appliances, hardwood floors, a small island for prepping dinner, and all of the equipment you’ll need to make a great meal. All it’s missing is some food, which local markets can easily provide. And speaking of local markets, now we’re getting into the heart of this post: walking distance.
This town house is walking distance from town. That means you’ll be walking distance from a great beach, yes. But it also means that you will be walking distance from several stores, a farmer’s market, and a bunch of wonderful restaurants that serve great food all year round! In other words, you will not only have a great kitchen for cooking your own gourmet meals, but you can also go out to eat at a number of gourmet restaurants without having to rent a car!
So, if you like food the way that I do (or if you just like being incredibly close to a beach and a great shopping center), then choose Hale Ylang Ylang for your next vacation rental here on Kauai. You will absolutely love it!
If you decide to stay on the North Shore and want to take your kids to the Anini Beach swimming area, then I have a vacation rental suggestion for you. One of the best rentals near Anini Beach is Puanani, which is a short walk away from the water. Why is it nice? Well, let me tell you about it.
The first thing I loved about this vacation rental is the interior design. Now, normally I would be bragging about the space and the price (which I will get to), but you can’t help but love this place when you walk into it. This is a two story home with high ceilings and a fun and tropical interior theme. The support posts are painted in bright, friendly colors and the staircase to the second floor is simply beautiful. So, if you are a fan of unique interior design at all, you must visit this place.
Okay, onto the good stuff. This place is HUGE. Seriously, it is a 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom, 2 living room vacation home tucked into a tropical paradise. The size makes it easy to find your own space, even if you are vacationing with 6 other people. The locational privacy makes it ideal for vacationing families or up to 4 couples vacationing together. And the price is unbeatable, especially if you are looking into hotel costs. (But I’ll get to that in a minute.)
As well as the size, this place has a few amenities. For instance, each bedroom has a bathroom, so there is no fighting over the shower in the morning. The living room couch also folds out into a sofa sleeper, making this a house for up to 8 people. Plus, there is a large wrap-around covered deck on the second floor with tables and chairs, so you can relax each evening while BBQing up a meal and watching the stars above the foliage of the mountain. Yep, it’s nice.
Other amenities for this place include a fully-equipped kitchen for all of your cooking needs, two separate living rooms so you can break up into groups, and free wireless internet for those who need to check my blog for the latest updates. ☺ There is a large yard out front where you can run around and play, and there are fruit trees on the property that you are allowed to pick for some delicious treats. And, if you packed light, that’s okay! There is a washer and drying in the home for easy laundry services.
Now for the cost. If you have researched hotel rooms at all, then you know that they can run anywhere from $200-$500 per night. So, if you and three other couples want to come to Kauai together, that would be between $800 and $2000/night for your group. (Doesn’t sound good, am I right?) HOWEVER, this enormous vacation home is only $2,500 for the week! That’s 7 nights of lodging for up to 4 couples for only $2,500. And when you add on space, amenities, location to the beach, etc… well, you can see why this is a good deal and a nice house.
So, if you are going to be visiting the Anini area, check out Puanani in Kilauea. You are simply going to LOVE this place.
If you decide to stay on the North Shore and want to visit a great beach with lifeguard protection that is perfect for swimming, I would suggest coming to Haena. There is a vacation home here, called Haena Place, that might be just perfect for you and your family, especially if you are a family of 4 or less.
Haena Place is located in a quiet neighborhood in Haena, tucked away into a small cul-de-sac. It is a two-story home with a wrap-around deck that overlooks the lush tropical mountains. So each morning you can step out onto the deck with your family, your food, and your coffee and have a nice breakfast while looking out onto the beautiful tropical landscape.
The house itself is perfect for a small family. There are two bedrooms. The larger of the two has a King-sized bed and the smaller room has a Queen. Plus, there are 1 ½ baths, so the kids will have their own bathroom for everything except showers. The living room is just right for watching one of the movies in the bookshelf for checking out what’s on cable. And the kitchen is fully stocked with the utensils and cooking equipment necessary to make a wonderful meal. You just need to pick up some ingredients.
Plus, the location of this home is perfect. Not only is it located in a safe and quiet neighborhood, but it’s also only a short distance away from Tunnel’s Beach and Haena Beach Park. Haena Beach Park, as you know, is a lifeguarded beach. Plus, the natural shape of the underwater obstacles decrease the large surf, making this beach perfect for swimming and snorkeling. So if you want a family adventure on the beach, this is the place to stay.
And the price is the best part. Hotels are really expensive and you don’t get anything more than a room and a bathroom. It’s even worse when you think of having to spend your entire vacation sharing a small space with your kids. The lack of privacy and crazy mess will get to anyone after a while. But this house is only $1,350 a week! Seriously, price some hotels and you’ll see what a wonderful deal this is. And when you consider all of the amenities you get when you rent a home instead of a hotel room, you’ll definitely decide in favor of Haena Place. You can take my word for it.
If you are visiting Kauai for the Prince Kuhio Day celebration (or if you plan to come to Kauai and spend some time on the South side of the island), I have another great vacation rental recommendation for you: The Tides in Koloa. Just wait until you hear more about it…
Inside
The Tides is a LARGE vacation home for up to eight people. There are 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and a ton of living space. Actually, this vacation home is about 2500 square feet! That’s plenty of space to bring a bunch of friends, spread out, and really enjoy your stay. The master bedroom has a king-sized bed, which is glorious. And the second bedroom has a queen-sized bed, which is also very comfortable. But the third bedroom is actually located downstairs and has it’s own kitchenette, small living area, private entrance, and more. So your biggest problem with this place might be trying to decide which room you want.
The main living space is very open, creating one large room for you to hang out and visit. The kitchen is like a fairly island of awesome. (If you like to cook, this is the place for you.) It’s surrounded by counter-tops, is equipped with the best kitchen gadgets, and makes your kitchen at home look small. And the dining room has space for everyone in your party, as well as providing the dinnerware you’ll need to actually enjoy your meal. Finally, the living room has comfortable furniture, an entertainment center, and free high speed internet.
In other words, The Tides has everything you’ll need for a luxurious stay on a tropical island. But wait… there’s more!
Outside
The Tides is situated right on the water. So from just about every room of the house, you’ll have a view of the ocean. Because of the excellent views, you might want to spend more time than usual outside, which is perfectly possible with so much exterior space. The backyard is large, beautiful, and filled with green grass. So you can play football, croquet, or simply lay a towel outside and sunbathe. Plus, there are two beachfront patios (lanais) off of two of the bedrooms. This means that you can enjoy your fresh cup of Kauai Coffee each morning sitting on your own private patio looking out onto the water. Awesome, right?
Sounds tempting, right? So why not come and check it out. You’ll be glad that you did.
You know, if you plan on going to the art fair in Poipu, you might as well stay at a beautiful vacation house while you’re there. And one of the best vacation homes in Poipu is Hale Huna off Kelaukia Street. Let me tell you a bit about it.
First of all, this place is gorgeous. Designed and furnished to let in as much natural light as possible, this vacation home is always bright and sunny. Mirrors located in strategic locations reflect light into other parts of the house, making sure you can always glimpse a little bit of tropical paradise. And all of the windows allow you to see a beautiful garden paradise all around you, including your private garden and mountain views.
Secondly, Hale Huna is soothing. With soft colors and textures, beautiful hardwood floors, large open rooms, and ceiling fans in each room to combat the humidity, you will truly be living in comfort. The kitchen is set up with a large island, lots of counter space, and an abundance of appliances for easy use. The breakfast bar has free Wifi and DSL. And the living room is set up with comfortable furniture and a 47” HDTV and DVD, so you can relax with a movie at the end of a long day.
Now, let’s discuss room. This home has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, giving you enough space for 8 adults to sleep comfortably. And since this home is located at the end of a cul-de-sac, there will be enough privacy for you to truly enjoy yourself. The house has a dining room table large enough for 8 to sit comfortably and large rooms so you don’t feel cramped. Plus, there is a large area outside with patio furniture, a table, lounges, and a BBQ for grilling up dinner.
And do you want to know the best part? Well, this home is located right near the beach! In fact, all beaches in the area are a simple 10 minute walk away, giving you access to white sand, surf, snorkeling, sunbathing, swimming, and more. The house has beach towels for you to use and a convenient outdoor shower, in case you come back salty and sandy. So you can enjoy a day by the ocean whenever you want.
Need more amenities? Well, how about access to all of the amenities at Poipu Kai Resort, such as tennis courts, a swimming pool, and a spa? There are also great restaurants in town and shops galore. And, when you want to see the sights, you are in a prime location to start.
So why not consider Hale Huna. I think you’ll really enjoy it!
If you and your friends have been talking about taking a big trip together somewhere fun or exotic, then I recommend coming to Kauai. Not only do we have a million different things for you and your friends to do, but we also have a large vacation home (Anahola Beach House) for you all to stay in together. And with 7 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms, there should be more than enough space for everyone in your party!
Let’s talk details. As I mentioned, there are seven bedrooms and seven bathrooms. Of course, only two of the bedrooms have King sized beds, so you might have to call dibs. ☺ The bedrooms are spread out throughout the house, giving each couple or individual person some much needed privacy. And then, of course, there are large main rooms for hanging out together including a large living room, dining room, and kitchen.
The kitchen is fully equipped, allowing you to cook at your leisure. And the living room has a flat screen tv for vegging out at the end of a long day playing in the sun. The dining room has seating for everyone, and the private courtyard is there for lounging, laughing, or playing. There is even a gas BBQ for those who enjoy big steaks or grilling up their freshly caught fish.
Can I just say this place is amazing? Seriously, it’s big, private, fun, and provides everything you will need while staying on Kauai, minus the food. Plus, there is a large yard for playing football or Frisbee and a beach not too far away. (It pays to stay in Anahola.)
So, if you want to travel somewhere exciting with your friends or your extremely large family, come to Kauai and look up the Anahola Beach House. Once you see it, you’ll know it’s the place for you.
Family vacations should be relaxing, right? When I was a child, we would fly to the mainland and drive around, seeing the sights. The problem was that my brother and I fought all the time and we drove our parents crazy. After several days cooped up together in the car, everyone was ready to go home. It wasn’t relaxing. In fact, to this day I have no idea why my parents always decided to take road trips.
Maybe that’s why I love the Hale Ylang Ylang vacation rental home so much. I remember those family road trips and think of this rental as a little piece of heaven in a tropical paradise. Let me explain.
This vacation rental sleeps four, so a typical American family can stay here easily. However, unlike traveling together in a car or staying in a small hotel room, this vacation rental home has plenty of space. The two bedroom suites both have King sized beds and their own bathrooms, so there won’t be problems sharing. The living room has plenty of seating, lots of room, and several high-end electronics to play with, including high speed wireless internet for laptop users. And the fully equipped gourmet kitchen has tons of counter space, including an island counter and bar stools for socializing with the cook.
For meal times, you can cook at home and eat in the dining room. You can also eat in the living room while watching a fun movie or have your kids eat at the bar while sitting on bar stools. If the day is nice (and let’s face it – this is a tropical island so the chances of “nice” are good), you can eat outside on your own private and protected patio (called a lanai). Or, if you are sick of staying indoors, you can go out to eat at one of the many local restaurants! After all, Hale Ylang Ylang is only a short walk into town.
So what about amenities? Will there be enough to do? The answer is a definite yes. You see, Hale Ylang Ylang is right near the water. Have you heard of the famous Hanalei Bay? Well, it’s just a short stroll from the house. In fact, you can see the Bay from the upstairs windows! And, if you spend the day at the beach and become covered in sand, you can rinse off in the handy outdoor shower.
This vacation rental has cable TV, DVD and CD players, high speed internet, a gourmet kitchen, a dishwasher, a washer/dryer unit, a window seat, a private patio, a hardwood floor, granite countertops, comfortable furniture, and more. In fact, I think I can safely say that it has everything you will need for a comfortable and relaxing vacation here on Kauai.
The last time I took a vacation, I stayed in a city. I was surrounded by people at all times. This wasn’t so bad when I was touring around or visiting the sites, but I hated to be surrounded by people at night when I wanted to go to bed. Staying in a hotel isn’t always fun. But that’s why I can whole-heartedly recommend Bond Beach House for your stay here on Kauai.
Bond Beach House is a lovely place located in Anahola. It’s right on the beach, giving you immediate access to the ocean and the beautiful views of the island. And, because it’s in Anahola, it’s centrally located on the island, giving you easy access to any number of things to do from hiking and water sports to shopping and spa treatments. However, unlike a hotel, this beach house is located in a hide-away spot on the island. So you get a secluded section of white sandy beach all to yourself.
The house itself is just as nice as its location. It’s a 4-bedroom house with 3 bathrooms, so there is more than enough room for a large family or group of friends. It also has a living room for spending family time indoors, a kitchen with everything you’ll need to make a meal (minus the food), a dining area for family dinners, and a lot of space to roam around outside. It’s a great home with a lot of space, but that isn’t the only reason it’s great.
The house comes with a washer and dryer, so you can pack light and wash what you need. And it has an air conditioner, so you can stay cool even on hot, humid days. There is a hot tub outside for some evening enjoyment, and a BBQ on the patio for making dinners. Plus, the master bathroom has a Jacuzzi spa for relaxation and alone time.
In other words, the Bond Beach House is one of the best vacation rental homes on Kauai. So check it out today!
Need a nice place to stay for your visit to Kauai? Want a place where your kids will have things to do but you can also feel like you’re in a resort? Want a bit of privacy? Well, I want you to check out Puu Poa 102 in Princeville and then decide for yourself whether it’s the perfect place for your family.
As far as vacation rentals go, this one is considered one of the best. Why? Well, let’s go over a few basic reasons.
Location: This vacation condo is right on a bluff, offering you amazing views and a short walk to a great surfing beach. In fact, Hideaway Beach is a great place for snorkeling as well, and you won’t have far to carry your equipment if you’re living up on the bluff. Plus, this condo is situated in Princeville, the home of great beaches, excellent restaurants, world-class golf courses, private spas, large shopping centers, and even a nice children’s park. You will never run out of things to do if you stay in this rental, and you’ll have a lovely view of the ocean from your private patios.
Rooms: A short time ago, this condo was remodeled to give the already nice rooms a touch of amazing. Each and every room in this condo is expertly decorated to provide a sense of taste and refinement, as well as a comfortable atmosphere. The master bedroom (with king-sized bed and private bath) in the epitome of taste and style, while the second bedroom is designed more with children in mind, having two twin beds and a fun decorative theme. The shared rooms of the house have been furnished with furniture that provides function and comfort, as well as some additional ambiance. And with a tropical paradise and ocean views out every window, this place is fit for a King.
Amenities: Of course, no rooms (no matter the design and style) can provide the ultimate comfort unless properly equipped. This place, however, has it all. Ceiling fans are located in each room of the house, to provide comfort from the tropical humidity. The house comes with a flat screen TV and DVD player, as well as a stockpile of movies for your viewing pleasure. So in case you want to stay in one night, you’re covered. There are 2 private lanais so you can sit and watch the stars, and the kitchen is filled with everything you will need to cook an amazing gourmet meal, minus the food itself. There is high speed internet, a BBQ, a shared tennis court and swimming pool, and a walking trail to a local beach. In short, everything you’ll want for your Kauai vacation is located at this condo or within a short distance of it.
Privacy: And, at the end of the day, you won’t have to deal with a large crowd of people. One of the worse parts of staying in a hotel is being constantly surrounded by people. The lobby is filled with people, the restaurants are filled with people, the elevators are shared with other people, and your small room shares at least two walls with other people. There are people everywhere and not much privacy. But with a vacation condo, you have an entire house all to yourself. The only people here are the ones you bring with you.
Price: And, at only $1350 per week, this place is cheaper than a nice hotel.
So can you see now why I wanted you to take a look at this place? Puu Poe 102 is a wonderful vacation getaway for any traveling family. I hope one day you will get to enjoy staying here as much as I did.
If you are coming to visit Kauai for the holidays, then you need a place to stay! And if you want a beautiful 3 bedroom/3 bathroom condo in one of the best towns on Kauai for under $1100/week, then I have the place for you: Villas of Kamalii 11.
The Villas of Kamalii are a group of villas right in Princeville near the world famous Makai Golf Course, Princeville Resort, Princeville Center, and some of the best beaches on the island. And the best of these villas is Unit 11. Why? Well, for one thing, it’s nice.
Talk about elegant design and good use of space. This villa has everything you need, and several things you probably don’t need that are used for accent pieces. There is a fully decked out kitchen, dining room, living room, three large bedrooms (two of which are master suites), three bathrooms, and more space than you can shake a stick at! (Pardon my odd wording choice, but I grew up hearing the stick thing and it kind of stuck.)
The master suites have it all, from large beds to private bathrooms. Each of the suites has its own flat screen television and a private lanai (patio) as well. So, other than needing to come out for food, you can be pretty well set in one of these suites. Of course, if you are visiting the island with another couple, you will have to fight over the King sized bed. The second master only has a queen.
And then there is the amazing amount of amenities this villa has. The living room has a flat screen TV and DVD player. The garage (yes, it has one for your rental car) has an assortment of beach toys for the kids. There is a washer/dryer unit as well and a nice BBQ on the back patio for grilling up burgers, some nice deep sea fish, or even a sausage or two. And there is Internet access, so everyone can surf their favorite websites or check in on work if they want.
But even with all of that, you are only scratching the surface of why this villa is so great. You see, this villa is in an area of villas, all sharing some great community property. So, do you love the ocean but don’t like to swim in the salt? Well, there is a community swimming pool and a hot tub for anyone staying on-site. Plus, this neighborhood is close to many of Princeville’s main attractions, ensuring that you will always have something to do. Combine that with the nearby Hanalei Bay and you have a trip made in heaven.
So come and visit us for the holidays and bring your friends. Believe me – Villas of Kamalii 11 has room for them.
I have found the cutest vacation condo for you and your family of four (or small group of friends). It’s Puamana 2D in the beautiful and tropical town of Princeville, and it’s perfect for a small group of up to 6 people.
When I walked into this home, I was rather smitten. The colors are bright and cheery, the rooms are the perfect size, the furniture was nice and comfortable, and it was right on the North Shore. Perfect. And it only got better when I walked around.
The living room is comfortable, furnished with cozy couches and chairs. And the open floor plan allows for easy access to the fully equipped kitchen and dining room. Also downstairs, you will find a guest bedroom with a nice queen-sized bed and bathroom, along with a garden lanai (patio) for enjoying the sun or BBQing some tasty treats. (Yes, there is a BBQ on the patio. You don’t have to bring your own. ☺)
And upstairs is even better. The entire upstairs is a private suite, complete with sitting room, master bedroom, and bathroom. This is also a balcony lanai and your own private phone and TV. So, while everyone else spreads out downstairs, you can relax in comfort, enjoying your own private world upstairs.
Wondering where those other two people are going to sleep? Well, the couch downstairs folds out into a nice sofa bed. (I haven’t tested it myself, so I can’t attest to how comfortable it is. But the owners swear it’s okay, and they are typically trustworthy.) In other words, this vacation condo is perfect for a family or 4-6 or two couples in need of a get-away. It’s also great for a bunch of friends vacationing together, though I’ll leave it up to you to fight over the bed situation. ☺
If you have a family of 5-6, then you probably understand that travel isn’t always easy. It’s hard to find a restaurant everyone likes, it’s difficult to rent the right sized vehicle, and it’s expensive to stay in a hotel. And if you do find the right place to stay, how will you keep the kids entertained while you’re there? Well, have you checked out Emmalani Court 212 in Princeville?
While I can’t help you with the rental car company and I can’t make your kids agree on dinner options, I can tell you that a vacation rental home is a much better idea than staying in a hotel. For one thing, the price is an important factor. In a hotel, you will likely have to paid for multiple rooms. But with this vacation rental, the price for the week is only $1,050 for 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a living room, a patio, and a fully-equipped kitchen. That’s right – 7 days and a ton of space for only a thousand dollars. Since hotel rooms cost $200/night/room, this will save you quite a bit of money.
And speaking of food, if you can’t find a restaurant that all of your kids will enjoy, why not eat in? Instead of hotel room service (which will cost you a small fortune) or trying to smuggle what you can into your room, this condo has a fully-equipped kitchen. This means that you will find everything you need in this kitchen to make truly fantastic meals. Since you are only a short walk (or REALLY short drive) to the heart of Princeville, you are close to many grocery stores, local shops, fish markets, and delis. So you can make whatever you like in your own kitchen during your stay.
But what about sleeping space? Well, as I mentioned before, there are 2 bedrooms. One of the bedrooms is a master suite (that you will probably take and not your children). The Master Suite has a King-sized bed, a TV, and a large walk-in shower in your own private bathroom. So, at the end of a long day, you can escape the kids and enjoy your own private space. The second bedroom has a queen-sized bed and a twin bed, meaning you can sleep up to 3 people in this room. Plus, the living room has a queen-sized pull out couch, so you could sleep another kid or two out there.
The rest of the house is designed to give you light, space, and comfort. There are windows everywhere, allowing you to spend time viewing the splendor of the island. From your home, you can see the ocean as well as the world-famous Makai golf course. So you can literally sit out on your patio, sip a refreshing drink, and watch a hole of golf or two. And, if you want to request a tee-time, you could try playing on the Makai course yourself while you’re there!
The living room is big enough for your family to stretch out and relax. And, with books, games, a flat screen TV, and even an iPod dock, your family will have a lot to do. Plus, you will find beach toys and a cooler in the house. Feel free to use them to take a trip to the near-by beach (only 8 minutes on foot) and enjoy your time in Princeville!
When you picture yourself staying on Kauai, what do you see? Most people have an image of waking up in the morning and enjoying a cup of coffee outside on a private patio overlooking the sun coming up on the ocean. You want to watch the waves crash on the beach and see the whales and dolphins playing in the water. That is a Hawaiian vacation at its best. And that is exactly what you can have if you stay at the Cliffs 9201.
Now, most of the vacation rentals on Kauai that I talk about are great places to stay for you and your family. But this one is just for you and your significant other, and I especially like it for the relaxation factor. You can literally wake up in the morning and enjoy a cup of Kauai’s finest coffee from the comfort of your private lanai while watching the dolphins play in the water. Because it’s located up high on the cliffs, you have a panoramic view of the North Side of the island. Plus, it comes with quite a few perks.
With only one bedroom, this is the perfect little get-away. You get the privacy of your own vacation home, a fully equipped kitchen, two bathrooms (so no fighting over the bathroom in the mornings), and a master suite with a King-sized bed. Plus, the living room is equipped with an entertainment center including a TV, DVD player, Stereo system, and free high speed Internet. Plus, there is a washer/dryer unit in the condo itself, so you can pack light and not worry about running out of clothes.
The condo is spacious with a mirrored living room, which is a singular and unique addition to the home. Plus, all of the furniture is comfortable. And if you want a relaxing location for your vacation, comfy furniture is a must. Furthermore, if you want to leave the house for the day and enjoy some of what Kauai has to offer, this condo is located in Princeville, the best town on the North Side of the island. In Princeville, you can find adventure, activities, and the best beaches on the island, include the famous Hanalei Bay.
So if this sounds like the place for you, call and find out more about this property today. It’s really a great place to spend your vacation.
If you want to come and stay on Kauai with your small family, you will need a bit of stretching out space. Fitting 3-4 people in a hotel room is not fun and it’s expensive, especially if you decide to get two rooms. But you don’t want a large vacation rental home either. That would just be too much space. What you need is a place like the Cliffs 4206, which is a part of the Cliffs at Princeville complex.
What is special about the Cliffs? Well, these condos are just the right size for small families or couples seeking some relaxation. The Cliffs 4206 is a 1 bedroom condo with 2 bathrooms and a queen-sized pull-out couch in the living room. So, while parents can luxuriate in a King-sized bed, private bathroom, and private lanai at night, the kids can stay comfortably on the bed in the living room with their own bathroom and enough space to stretch out.
In addition to the sleeping arrangements, this condo has all of the amenities you might want for your stay: a fully equipped kitchen, living room with large flat panel tv, high speed internet, comfortable furniture, and enough windows with a view of the ocean that you just might get sick of looking at it. Plus, there are quite a few amenities for the families in the condos to share, like a pool, spa, ½ basketball court, volleyball court, tennis court, playground, mini putting green, and barbeques galore. Seriously, this place is great.
If you want to go out and enjoy all that Kauai has to offer, you’re right in Princeville, where you will find the best beaches, water sport opportunities, stores, restaurants, and adventures on the island. Plus, the Cliffs offers rentals for anything you might need, such as bicycles, boogie boards, snorkeling equipment, and more. So you’ll be completely set to take on the world during the day and then come back to your private condo each evening for some rest and relaxation.
On Kauai, we have many hotels, several villas, and quite a few resorts. But the best places to stay are often the vacation rental homes. For one thing, they are cheaper per week than getting a hotel room or staying at a resort. And for another thing, they offer you a lot more room and many more amenities than most other places. So, if you are coming to visit Kauai, consider Alii Kai 8E for your stay.
Alii Kai is a group of condos in Princeville, the best town on Kauai. At Alii Kai 8E, you will be surrounded by the lush views of tropical landscaping, be within walking distance to some beautiful tennis courts, and you can even see the ocean from the condo. Of course, I recommend 8E specifically because it has a cozy yet spacious appearance with many windows to keep the space light and bright throughout the year.
Alii Kai 8E is a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom condo with enough space to sleep 4 comfortably. This makes 8E the perfect place for a small family or two couples to stay. Plus the living room has a pullout couch for additional sleeping space if needed.
Amenities for this condo include a fully equipped kitchen, landscaping, a communal swimming pool and tennis courts, a washer/dryer unit in the condo, free high speed internet and a TV/DVD unit. But the best part of this condo is the price: only $875 for an entire week! So if you come to Kauai, you can spend your money on what really matters and not on an outrageous hotel bill.
If you are coming to Kauai for Valentine’s week, then chances are that you could use a nice place to stay that won’t cost you 200+ a night (like the hotels will). Well, have you heard of a little place called Alii Kai 2202 in Princeville? Because I think this might be just the place for you.
Let’s face it – you will probably want two things for your romantic get-away in Kauai this Valentine’s Day: a place to sleep and a place to play. This rental offers both of those things.
Sleep: This 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom home is just the right size for a romantic rendezvous. Queen sized beds bring you together and give you some much needed alone time. And when you wake up, separate bathrooms allow you to both get ready for the day at the same time. Walking through your living room and into the kitchen, you have a fully equipped space in which to grab a quick bite or sit down to a nice meal. Sitting in your vacation home, you can enjoy the gorgeous mountain views and plan your day together.
Play: And then you need to get out of the house! Princeville is one of the best places to stay on Kauai. Why? Well, because there is so much to do. Now sure, you can take it easy and enjoy your romantic get-away with sunbathing at Hanalei Bay, lunch at a quaint bistro, shopping in town, quality time at home, a nice dinner at one of our fabulous restaurants, and then a moon-lit walk on the beach. But you could also fill your days with water-sports, scuba diving, horseback riding lessons, hiking, going on a tour, learning to surf, and maybe even taking a sunset cruse before returning home. It’s up to you.
Want to vacation in style for Christmas? Then you should come and stay at Hale Ola Guest House for the holidays and enjoy the luxurious comfort that a private home can provide.
Most people think that vacationing on Kauai is expensive. But honestly, you can save a fortune if you simply rent a vacation home instead of purchasing a hotel room for the week. Instead of paying $1,000 a night for a nice room, why not pay $2,400 for an entire week and enjoy the privacy and comfort of your own home-away-from-home?
The Hale Ola Guest House is a lovely house in Hanalei with a close proximity to the ocean and a scenic view from each window. We are talking historic beachfront property here people, and it could be all yours during your winter vacation. Amenities for this property include cable TV, DVD/VCR, CD player, beach access, a private lanai, and nearness to Hanalei Town and all it has to offer. Plus, you won’t have to worry about the neighbors in the hotel room next to yours keeping you up all night.
This is a nice vacation home with historic significance, but don’t worry – it is up to date and ready for a resident or two. With two bedrooms, one bathroom, and a complete kitchen, any small family or set of couples would enjoy spending their time here. But spending time indoors isn’t what Kauai is all about. That’s why you can walk a short pathway down to the beach and spend the day soaking up the sun and playing in the water.
You can learn to surf, get a tan, go out to eat every night, and enjoy a private breakfast in your own living room the next morning. Thus is the wonder of a vacation home. So if you plan to visit Kauai, consider this beautiful Guest House for your lodging needs.
If you are planning on visiting Kauai over the holidays and need a nice vacation rental home for your whole family, I have a recommendation for you. Consider staying at Anahola Aloha Beach House on the East side of the island. You will only be a short jaunt from the North side of the island where all of the fun happens. Plus, you will absolutely LOVE this rental. Let me tell you about it.
To start off with, this rental has 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and a pull-out couch for extra guests. This means that this rental can sleep 11 people comfortably, and there is plenty of space if you want to bring the kids and place sleeping bags on the floor.
Speaking of space, this place truly is spacious, and I’m not just referring to the vaulted ceilings! There are two master suites and a media room downstairs, each having its own TV with DVD player for late night movies and group hangouts. And then upstairs has the fully equipped kitchen, living room, and dining room, each with a view of the beautiful Anahola Bay! In fact, if you are up for a walk, you are just a short hike from the bay itself. So you can spend your days combing the sand and spend your evenings watching the bay from your lanai.
Don’t want to simply lounge on a chair to watch the ocean? Well, that’s fine. This rental has a hot tub, allowing you to sip a cool drink while sitting in hot, moving water while you enjoy the view. After you finish with the hot tub, you can come inside and sit down to dinner, a dinner you can make yourself in the large kitchen complete with every appliance you will need to make a spectacular meal. (And if you are the type of cook who loves counter space, you will simply drool over this kitchen.)
Need table linens and dinnerware? They’re provided. Need a washer and dryer to clean sandy clothes? They’re provided. Need a vacation home that sleeps 11+, is a short drive to Kilauea and Kapaa, is a short walk to the beach, and that starts at only $3000/week? Well, this house provides that. All you have to do is rent it.
Well, maybe it’s not a real castle, but how about a beautiful and spacious vacation rental home with a rock wall around the outside? If you are coming to Kauai and plan on stay on the North side of the island, I recommend Hale Ylang Ylang as your temporary home. Why? Because it’s nothing short of a wonderful escape from the rigors of life.
Hanalei Bay is one of the biggest tourist attractions in Kauai, a crescent shaped bay of white sand against crystal blue waters and backed by luscious mountains. And Hale Ylang Ylang is a short walk from the bay. In fact, from the second story of this well-furnished home, you can see the bay as well as the mountains. The view is truly breathtaking, but a pretty picture isn’t all this town home has to offer.
Upstairs you will find a large living room decorated with wood floors, warm tones, and soft plush couches. Add to this a DVD/CD player, cable TV, and high speed internet access and you have all of the comforts of home. The kitchen is also on the second floor, fully equipped with all you should need to prepare delightful meals for your whole family. This gourmet kitchen has an island counter to make prep easy and bar counter seating so your friends and family members can chat with you while you cook.
At the end of each day, you can journey downstairs where you will find two private master bedrooms containing King-sized beds and en suite bathrooms. There is even an outdoor shower for each suite so you can visit Hanalei Bay and then rinse off before slipping under the sheets. Of course, two suites mean that you can easily make this getaway a trip for two couples. While many vacation rentals, including this one, can easily accommodate a small family, finding a rental that allows privacy for two couples is much harder. Yet, with this rental, you can grab your best friends and vacation in style right near the beach!
Hale Ylang Ylang really does provide everything you might need to enjoy your vacation: a place to cook, a place to sleep, a beautiful view, a close proximity to adventure, a privacy shield made of rock, and a private lanai on which you can lounge. And if that weren’t enough, you would also be just a short walk away from town, a place where you can go shopping, eat at quality restaurants, enjoy some spa services, or rent equipment for water sports and other activities. This place has it all.
When you are looking for a vacation rental, what things are most important to you? Is it a large television? Close proximity to hiking trails or the beach? Enough bedrooms to sleep 6-8 people? Internet access?
Well, for me it is all of those things. I want to truly relax in comfort when I rent a home, no matter where I am. And if you are the same way, then you will love Hale Luana, a vacation rental home in Haena.
Hale Luana is a large vacation rental that is comfortable and right on the beach. That’s right – the backyard is literally the sandy shore of the ocean. In the front yard, there is a large plot of beautiful green grass where your family or friends can play touch football or throw frisbees. And there is a large patio/deck/lanai furnished with chairs and a table, so you can lounge in the sun while enjoying the scene.
On the inside, this three bedroom – two bath house is fully equipped for your needs. First of all, the basics of the house are all there. Both bathrooms have showers, so you can vacation with just your family or invite a second family along and each use a separate bathroom. The rest of the house is fully furnished with comfortable beds, teak and bamboo furniture, and enough space for a large group to be comfortable. The kitchen is also well stocked with appliances and a marble countertop.
Additional amenities that you might enjoy are the high speed internet access, cable TV with DVD/VCR/CD player, gas grill, and outdoor shower to rinse off after a beach adventure. This beautiful and spacious home sleeps eight and would be ideal for a large family or group of friends. Plus, at only $4,500 a week for all of that, you would be hard pressed to find a better deal on the island.
