Want a free, family-oriented, fun outing with your kids while you visit Kauai? Well, the Banana Poka Round-Up is on Sunday, May 27, from 10am to 3pm and it is just the thing for a day of adventure and activity.
This year, the Banana Poka Round-Up will be held in Kokee State Park at Kanaloahuluhulu Meadow. This is a beautiful park on the West side of Kauai, so it is a bit of a drive from just about everywhere on the island. However, with all of the activity during this forest fair, attending the Round-Up will be well-worth the drive. Plus, if you want to visit Waimea Canyon or see the sights, you will be close by.
So let’s talk more about the event. For one thing, this event is free and outdoors. So you can enjoy the tropical weather while having fun with your whole family… for free! And if you really want to see more of the island and enjoy the outdoors, you can participate in the family hike, which is just one of the many activities that you can take part in once you arrive. Just remember to bring some sunscreen for the kids.
More activities during this educational forest fair include basket making, visiting exhibits, the Pedel to the Meadow bicycle race, a crowing contest, and more. And, as always with a Kauai fair, there will be live music for your family to enjoy. So come and join us for a day of outdoor excitement and activity. Learn to make a basket, hike around the forest, bike with the best of them, and crow to your heart’s content. In other words, come and have some fun with your family. You’ll be glad that you did.
PS. If you want to find out more information about the bicycle race, you can go online to the Pedal to the Meadow website. There, you can register for the race or just browse through the information provided.
